Homestand AI — Terms of Service
Effective Date: Nov 2, 2025
Last Updated: Nov 2, 2025
Welcome to Homestand AI, the platform built for homeowners — not corporations. We exist to expose HOA overreach, increase transparency, and empower people with data, not legal confusion. By using Homestand AI, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”), which form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “user”) and Homestand AI Inc. (“Homestand,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We’ll keep this as plain as possible, while protecting both you and us.
1. Our Purpose
Homestand AI provides AI tools, reports, and analytics to help users understand HOA rules, governing documents, and patterns of enforcement. Our platform offers clarity — not legal representation. We are not a law firm, and nothing on our site or in our tools should be considered legal advice. You use Homestand to gain insight, not legal counsel. We exist to help you stand your ground smarter, not go to court for you.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or legally able to enter into agreements. By using Homestand, you confirm that any data or documents you upload belong to you or that you have permission to share them.
3. Uploads and Ownership
You always own the documents, information, or content you upload — such as HOA bylaws, CC&Rs, violation letters, or related files. By submitting them to Homestand, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to analyze, process, and store that content for the purpose of generating reports and improving our tools. We do not sell, publish, or disclose your identifiable data to third parties.
4. What We Promise
We take your privacy and advocacy seriously. Homestand AI was built for homeowners, and that means we don’t sell personal data, we use encryption and industry-standard security, and we believe in radical transparency.
5. What You Agree To
By using Homestand AI, you agree to use the platform for lawful, ethical purposes and avoid uploading content that violates others’ rights. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if someone uses Homestand to attack others or manipulate data.
6. The Balance of Protection
Homestand AI provides information and insights in good faith, but we can’t be held liable for decisions or actions based on that information. Our tools are for education and empowerment, not legal representation. If your HOA pushes back, we’ll continue providing tools and data to help you respond intelligently — we just can’t represent you legally.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homestand AI and its affiliates are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages or financial losses from use of our data. If liability must be established, our total obligation will never exceed the amount you paid within the past 12 months.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Homestand AI, its team, and affiliates against claims arising from misuse of the platform or infringement. This clause protects the mission — not to abandon users, but to ensure accountability for all parties.
9. B2B Use and Data Access
For enterprise, title company, or real-estate integrations, Homestand provides Freedom Reports, API access, and data insights under separate licensing terms. Such use is governed by a Data Access & Licensing Addendum defining permitted use, attribution, and confidentiality obligations.
10. Termination
You can stop using Homestand AI anytime. We may suspend or terminate access if there’s misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes shall be handled in Delaware state or federal courts.
12. Updates
We may revise these Terms as we grow. When we do, we’ll post the updated version clearly on our website. By continuing to use Homestand after an update, you accept the new version.
